I grew up in a stupid little town. Stupid, stupid, stupid. There is now a facebook group that chronicles things that can happen "Only In Marion". Things like how cops can sit outside the Wal-Mart and basically round up Marion's Top 10 Most Wanted...the number of traffic lights on SR 95...the fat women who feel that wearing a tight crop top and letting their fat gut stick out over their Old Navy Capri pants is fashion.
Here is an example. I was cruising 9NEWS.com yesterday, the Denver NBC affiliate and there was a story that captured my attention, something about Ohio. I clicked on it, and the event took place in Marion.
Evidently there was some fiery car accident and two men jumped in to help a woman who was in it. They were hailed as heroes. Now they are suing the woman since the accident was her fault. One guy has injuries that prevents him from carrying a laundry basket up to the kitchen, and he has flashbacks to seeing the skin fall off the other man due to the burns.
I seriously doubt that they needed a written invitation to go save her. They did it. Their decision. Live with it. You got hurt? Comes with the territory when you are a hero.
Stupid people.
