You have seen them, save money on gas when you buy groceries. If you buy $100 worth of food, you get ten cents off a gallon, up to 35 gallons.
For some reason, a year or so ago in Colorado, the independent gasoline retailers fought hard to get this State law allowing this overturned. And they did. That got people all freaked out, that they were God-fearing, tax-paying Coloradoans who deserved to save money. Keep in mind these "independent" retailers are usually those gas stations that charge about 30 cents over the average local rate because they are right near a freeway exit.
So, the Colorado State House changed the law, to allow Costco, King Soopers (Kroger) and Safeway to continue to do this. But really, what does this give you?
You go to the pump, flash your card and it drops 10 cents. For a 15 gallon tank, that is a whopping $1.50. When your fill up costs $50, really what good is a buck and a half?
Coffee?
